I Started Playing basketball in 6th grade, I made my middle school team even though before that I never touched a ball in my life. I've always been more athletically gifted than most so that greatly contributed to my uprising in the sport. By 7th grade, I joined DTX basketball, an AAU team that impacted the way I play to this day. I was 14 playing 14u-16u contributing regardless of the age group, I was above average height for a long time so I was mostly playing at the 5 spot and dominating. I would also dominate defensively, always guarding the other teams' best players which I still do to this day Once I got into 8th grade I realized that I might not grow so I needed to develop a jump shot. I worked on it and became a good enough shooter for a decent while to keep the defense honest. Unfortunately, I stopped taking threes because of how dominant I was in the post and I took the cheap and easy buckets rather than developing my game. I continued to dominate until my sophomore year, when heavily relying on the post wasn't working as much. I took time to redevelop my Jumper by getting reps in for hours every day. The work has started to pay off as I am currently in my junior year hitting a respectable amount of threes on good percentages, with the ability to post up defenders if need be. All coaches that have had me have said that I am very coachable and know how to play whatever role I'm put in to the highest level.
I am also a track athlete, I earned 2 bronze medals in the Fciac division for the long jump and triple jump and also won a bronze medal in state opens for the triple jump my freshman year. I was the #1 ranked freshman triple jumper in the state #2 in the state for the long jump and #4 for the high jump and this led me to qualify for new balance nationals. I suffered a hamstring injury during my sophomore season which ended the season for me but I will return for my junior season. Outside of sports I live in a house of 3 with me, my mom, and my little brother, my dad lives in New York and I have many half-siblings with whom I am close with. Family always comes first to me, I love all of them and I wouldn't be here without them. Being an older sibling has taught me a lot about being responsible and also helps with taking accountability .
