RJ is a multi-mode game that offers a verity of different modes. From Roleplay to First Person Shooter, you’ll be able to find a public server (or private server) that has what you're looking for.
There are two Play modes; Online play, and Local play. Online play puts you in a lobby of random people. Local play allows you to join a lobby of people connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If you can’t connect to Wifi, then each player must be connected to the same cellular tower. For more info about these modes, click here
Battle against random people with Free-for-All mode in online play, or form teams by toggling the “Duos”, “Triples”, “Squads” or “Teams” options.
Duos = 2, Triples = 3, Squads = 4, Teams ≠ 5. Teams are any value that is over 4.
x = # of teams, y = # of players, t = # of players per team
t = y / x the if the answer is 4 or below, the x value decreases by 1. If the answer has a decimal, one team gets an extra player, preferably the lowest level player.
example: 16 players, 4 teams. 16 / 4 = 4. 4 ≠ (>4). x - 1 = 3, 16 / 3 = 5.33333——, 5.33333 rounded to the nearest 1 = 5 + 1 = 6 So there are 3 teams, each team has 5 players, except one which has 6.
Hangout servers allow you to invite friends over even if it’s a public server, making hangout servers the only public-available mode that allows unlimited people. Unlimited people can sometimes crash a server, so there is a lock that prevents extra invites from being sent when the player count is over 99. However, you can still invite people in using the console, or if a person accepts the invite after the player count > 99.
Hangout mode is the best way to buy items from the shops, other than from the Main Menu. At this time, weapons are only available to admins and RJ himself. There are many ways to earn money in hangout mode, specifically.
