My name is RJ and aeronautical engineering does interest me a lot as well as being near airplanes and working on them or doing whatever I have to so I can be near them. Space has also been a big interest of mine from a very young age and it continues to amaze me on what we have and still have to learn about space.
I have always found an interest in space and seeing how far we can go and everything that can still be discovered such as the sound of a black hole being discovered and even getting pictures of one. My grandpa was a gunner on an airplane in the military and it carried over to my dad and soon it came to me so my family loves planes and everything to do with them.
Right before I joined the aviation program to learn more about planes in my freshman year I was thrilled to see that I was able to be able to work on them and that was when I decided I wanted to do things that revolved around planes or anything that has to deal with space and everything that comes with it
I have been in the Aviation program for two years so I have somewhat of an understanding of planes and how they operate and how things fly. I have taken the aviation program as well as being in the engineering program right now.
I have not taken any program of study to help with what I'm trying to achieve. In my time with the tech center I have been precision measuring certified as well as having experience with tap and die and somewhat of an understanding with torque wrenches as well as soldering and filing.
I take part in competitive flag football and it has taught me that being smarter than someone can be more useful than the skill that they have. I have also learned that no matter how hard you try there is always going to be someone better than you or someone trying to capitalize on your mistakes and be better than you. I do not take part in any out of school. I worked at Ledo Pizza from September 2020 to June 2022 and in those two years I have learned that being patient with what you're doing is better than giving out a product that is done with 50% and not satisfactory. I have also learned that there are going to be some people you don't wanna work with so being able to have patience with the people you work with is always going to help out a lot.
Im somewhat interested in the military as my dad has shown me the benefits of doing it as well as being close to what I love allot in planes. I am most likely going to attend college as if I want to pursue being an engineer. I'm going to need more than one year of engineering to understand everything. CSM is a really big option for me as 2 out of four of my family members have gone there so it's going to be easy for me to adjust. I don't mind attending a trade school if I can learn more about engineering or planes. I would work as an apprentice as I feel you can learn the most under someone who knows everything and can point out when you do something wrong and correct your mistakes. Probably not as I don't know too much about what I wanna do for work outside of school.
If I ever do affect my community it's probably going to do something that affects our pool and I'm going to try to make it better as it's the only place that everyone comes together and is happy around. With society I feel its harder to change and you have to be more of a bigger figure in life to be able to change anything. Same thing with society , it's going to be extremely hard to change unless you do something groundbreaking to have an effect on the world. I feel that no matter what I do will have a positive effect on the world and whatever I make will change the world either small or big. Everyone should strive to change the world in some way.
