An indie animated series set in a dystopian, modern jazz age-inspired city called La Luz. It follows a diverse group of characters—humans, elves, devils, and angels—as they navigate political intrigue, personal struggles, and a mysterious disappearance of a Hollywood star that threatens to unravel their lives. As tensions rise, alliances form and fracture in a gripping tale of survival, loyalty, and the search for truth in a world on the brink of chaos.
Beyond the Light is an indie animated series made by me, set in a dystopian, jazz age-inspired world. The story takes place in La Luz, a city where Humans, Elves and Devils coexist amidst political corruption, cult conflicts, and societal decay. The series retells the journey of its central characters as they navigate themes of survival, found family, and the search for truth in a broken world.
Adapted from the webtoon Beyond the Light, which was later removed from circulation, the series reimagines its original story for a new medium. Production of Beyond the Light began in April 2024, with its release planned for 2025.
