Riverwood international charter school chorus

Riverwood International Charter School is a public charter school within the Fulton County School district. We serve around 1800 highly motivated students in Sandy Springs, GA.

The choral department consists of 4 ensembles during the school day and 1 ensemble (Riverwood A Cappella) which meets outside of school. We present 3 major public performances annually, in addition to performing at GMEA District V LGPE, Honor Chorus, GSU SingFest, UGA Choral Day, and many other performance opportunities. Riverwood Choruses received all superior performance ratings at 2019 LGPE.

Choral Director

Laura Leigh Beall is in her second year as the Director of Choirs at Riverwood and in her fifth year teaching choral music in the state of Georgia. The 2019 recipient of the Georgia ACDA Young Conductor Award, she is an active Atlanta-based musician passionate about conducting, voice, and music education. She is enjoying her fifth season singing with the Atlanta Master Chorale and serves as Director of Music Ministries at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. She holds a Master of Music degree in Conducting from the University of Georgia, where she studied with Dr. Daniel Bara and Dr. J.D. Burnett. She also holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from Reinhardt University, where she studied conducting with Dr. Martha Shaw.
