Your 10th Grade Literature teacher will introduce the project, guide you through the process of identifying a topic, and help you find a personal project mentor.
The role of your personal project mentor is to guide you through the Personal Project journey. Your mentor will support you throughout our Personal Project journey in the ways that are outlined by the IB:
It is your responsibility to book regular meetings with your mentor to share the journey of your Personal Project and to seek feedback. It is solely your responsibility to take the initiative and maintain regular contact with your mentor.
Enjoy the process of getting to know your mentor.
The topic of Rap music can be examined through different global contexts(GC). You need to choose one GC to narrow your project and focus inquiry.
In order to identify the most relevant and purposeful global context for your Personal Project you need to explore the possibilities of all six of the global contexts. Using our Global Context Lens model (below), place your developing goal at the center, to determine what you will create for a product / outcome. Thinking deeply through the lens of each of the six global contexts, explore how your Personal Project goal can be extended by each of these global contexts. Remember you refine your Personal Project goal through the lens of the global context you have chosen, so make sure that you explore all the possible options.
The rubrics below will be used to assess the quality of your work. IB Achievement scores (0-32) will be submitted to the IB for Personal Project course credit. After IB receives your achievement scores, they will assign an overall IB grade of (1-7).
