The River Valley Flyers model aircraft club was formed in the mid 1980's by a group of model airplane enthusiasts from the Central Wisconsin area. Our early days of flying sites included the Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Airports. In the 1990's we moved to a site in the Town of Grant in Portage County and maintained that site for many years. In 2026, we relocated to Jennie's Field in the Town of Saratoga in Wood County. Over the years our club has hosted numerous flying events at the past locations, including Pattern events, Electric Meets, and Club Fun-Fly's. Our club maintains the current flying site at Jennie's Field with club member participation to mow a flying strip on the airfield. We offer flight training assistance to new members if they want help and have members willing to help set up and test fly new aircraft.
