Hello, my name is Chandra Hayes and this is my first year at Riverside Middle School. I have served as a elementary librarian for 10 years. I am from Shreveport, Louisiana, and I received my B.S. degree from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a major in Business Education. Later, I received my Master’s degree in Educational Technology Library Science from Texas A & M Commerce. I enjoy picture books. My favorite authors are David Shannon, James and Kimberly Dean, Eric Litwin, Eric Carle, Mo Willems, Kate DiCamillo, Anna Kang, Kevin Henkes, Jon Klassen and many others. My favorite genres are historical fiction and humor. I have written several picture books. I plan to have them published soon. I enjoy reading the bible, baking, and cooking. I also enjoy small dog breeds.
