When you select records in your local save file, you can then go to Action --> Export to do multiple records at once. You will want to Overwrite your file.
An import profile must be set up in the Polaris ILS before you can import records.
To start importing records go to Utilities → Importing → Full Import.
Once the Polaris Import Setup-Full window opens, select your import profile from the list. Click on Add… and search for your import file (unless it populates automatically from your import profile).
Click on Import
The following message will pop up. Do not click on the button unless you want to cancel the import.
After the Polaris Import message goes away the following message will pop up.
Click on OK and the Import jobs queue will open. Do not close the Import jobs queue window until the import process is complete and you have reviewed the import report.
Once you click OK you can continue to work on other items as normal while waiting for the import job to finish.
The top line should be your import information, if you click on the refresh button after a little while the two columns that start Record… should have the same number, once they do this means the import process is complete.
To open the import report and review it for any errors click on the report button. The report will tell you how many records were added as final and how many as provisional. For the records that were added provisionally review the errors and report them to riversharedsc@gaggle.email.
If the Import jobs queue window was closed and you need to reopen to check on your job or to review the report, go to Utilities → Importing → Import Jobs Queue.
To add items to the imported bib. records, go to the find tool and search for the record set(s) that was(were) created during the import process (they should start with "New Records".)
