Dames River and Fionna believe strongly in the idea of “clear is kind”.  If we are able to be clear with you, the populace, on what to expect from us and what we expect from you, then everyone can enter Reign XXI with a shared understanding.  This document, and others that will be posted in the coming days, will serve as a reference for those expectations.

General Communication

For this reign you can expect announcements and information to be posted in three different locations: our Kingdom Facebook Group, our Kingdom Discord Server, and our Kingdom Website.  Facebook messenger is the preferred method of person-to-person communication in a virtual setting.  Face to face conversation is always welcome.

Office Hours

Real life and paid jobs must always come before Amtgard and the unpaid work serving the organization requires.  It is the privilege and pleasure of this team to serve the Kingdom of Rivermoor, and we wish to do so in a way that does not jeopardize our other obligations.  To that end, members of this team have set “Office Hours”.

Dame River Stormtide

From Thanksgiving (US) to Christmas, Tuesday through Saturdays will see delayed responses from Dame River, with replies delayed until after 20:00 CST.  If the matter is urgent, please preface your message with URGENT.  Otherwise, responses may be delayed until the next Amtgard Business Day (Sundays and Mondays).

Dame Fionna Rilyn’ath

Throughout the reign, you can expect Fionna to respond to messages between 7:00pm to 9:00pm, CT, Monday through Friday.  If the matter is urgent, please preface your message with URGENT so she can prioritize appropriately.  Saturday and Sunday will have variable response rates for non-urgent matters.

All Other Officers

Please be mindful that not all of our Officers are able to keep their phones on hand through the work day, or work in office-type settings.  We will all do our best to reply to any queries within 24 hours of your message.  Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Awards Recommendations

Awards recommendations can be sent to the monarchy via the Kingdom Award Recommendation form, found on the website, or by using the ORK Award Recommendation function.  Personal messages or verbally communicated recommendations will not be accepted and are not encouraged.  There will be monthly reminders to submit award recommendations.  There is nothing quite so overwhelming for a monarchy team than getting to awards-decisions time and trying to remember everything that everyone has done in the 3 months before.

Recommend early; recommend often - there is a non-zero chance your generous contributions will be forgotten while your monarchy team tries to organize approximately 100 other things ahead of MidReign and/or EndReign.

Awards for contributions at the park level that are below 6th level on the awards ladder will be sent to the appropriate park monarch to be awarded at the next available opportunity.  Exceptions can and will be made in instances where the park is unable to award the appropriate level of award.  In all cases the Kingdom Monarchy team will seek to communicate and work with Provincial Monarchies to foster coordination of awards.
