Board updates

New HOA Board for 2025 - Following our annual HOA meeting held in March, at our first meeting as a new board, board positions were assigned. They are as follows;

President - Doug Lichliter of 775 Rapids Drive

Vice President - Debbie Costa of 296 Riverbend Lane - Newly elected

Secretary - Marilyn Allen of 600 Rapids Drive

Treasurer - Mack Zittrouer of 385 Riverbend Lane

ACC Chair - Stephanie LeClair of 416 Riverbend Lane - Newly elected

ACC - Ann Pearson of 121 Rapids

ACC/Website - Doug Jenkins of 528 Rapids Drive

Garbage Services Update

After receiving feedback from various homeowners, the board is no longer negotiating a contract for trash pick-up with one company for our subdivision. Our goal was to reduce the number of days to one that trash is picked up in the neighborhood and reduce the number of trucks coming into the neighborhood, creating a safer environment. Additionally, we hope this would be a cost savings to those who wish to participate.

Unfortunately, the feedback received from various homeowners did not align with these goals.

Fortunately, White Oak has purchased Garbage Hound, reducing the days to one day for most homeowners in our neighborhood. Therefore, the board is recommending that all homeowners comply with the following regarding trash pick-up services.

Riverbend at Bear Creek HOA has approved only the following garbage companies to use for Servicing Riverbend at Bear Creek.

White Oak Sanitation -706-367-0628

Curbside Services Inc. 706-769-1822

Both companies provide pickup services on Wednesdays each week.

Homeowners will need to set up their own contract for services with one of these companies or take trash to the local Jefferson County compactor site located at 843 New Kings Bridge Road, Athens, Ga., 30607. Spring Yard Maintenance

It's springtime and along with our beautiful flowers, we have noticed some yards are in need of weed control, turf management, trimming of larger bushes, and minor clean-up. Please refer to the following turf maintenance for guidelines and recommendations.
