College Applications

Are you a senior? If yes, then it is time to apply to college! College applications are not very hard and there are people to help you!

PS - In October there are many colleges in Minnesota that offer free applications! Be sure to get your application in then!

Here are the steps to applying to college

Research careers that may interest you. A good place to do this is MCIS. Contact Nikki for your log in information
Look for colleges that offer majors in the careers that interest you. MCIS is also a great tool for this.
Make a list of the colleges that interest you.
Visit the website to those colleges. Figure out what it is you like about each. Take special note to how many students go there, what activities there are, and the cost for attendance. Also look for scholarships while your on the website!
Visit the college if you can! If you cannot visit make sure you look at pictures and see if the college has a virtual tour on their webpage. Don't forget, you get 2 excused days per year to visit colleges. Let Nikki know if you need the form.
Apply! In October there is free applications to many Minnesota Colleges. Take advantage of this!
Let Nikki know what colleges you applied to. She will need to send them a transcript.
Wait for your letter. If you get turned down, its okay! There are many more colleges out there.
