Out of Unit Membership: Church policy allows members who are Deaf or hard of hearing to attend, either in person or virtually, wards or groups organized specifically for Deaf or hard of hearing members outside their geographic area (see General Handbook sections 33.6.5 and 33.6.11).
When children regularly participate in Primary through a Deaf unit, it is recommended that an out-of-unit membership record be created for the child and for at least one parent or guardian.
