A PhD student of Information Processing Lab . I work on auditory neurophysiology emphasizing on the pattern of encoding of deviant sounds in mice auditory cortex and the role of the transient subplate layer in encoding such deviant sounds.

Brief introduction
I belong to Advanced Technology Development Centre , IIT Kharagpur pursuing my research work under the supervision of Dr. Sharba Bandyopadhyay and co-supervision of Dr. Rajlakshmi Guha . I started my doctoral career on August 2021 and am currently a Prime Minister Research Fellow (PMRF) since August 2022. My research interest is particularly focused on how sounds are represented and interpreted in our brain and the electrical and biological changes associated with such representation.
I completed my bachelors in biochemistry from Asutosh College, University of Calcutta followed by Masters in Neuroscience from S.N.Pradhan Centre for Neurosciences, Ballygunge Science College , University of Calcutta. During my Masters I did an internship at the Neurogenetics unit, Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, where I worked on the prevalence of a particular polymorphism of MTHFR gene in acute stroke patients and its ability to act as a predisposing factor in occurrence of stroke. Here I used Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism to assess the presence of the variant in blood samples.
