Dr. Ritesh Singh comes from a small village in the Azamgarh district in UP. He earned his doctoral degree from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. He then moved to Fasan Lab at the University of Rochester, USA for his postdoctoral stay, where he worked on chemoenzymatic synthesis (Bio-catalysis). After a short stay at UNIST , Korea,  he started his independent career at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad, as an INSPIRE Faculty. He also received the prestigious JSPS postdoctoral fellowship to conduct research at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (KPUM), Kyoto, JAPAN with Prof. Takayoshi Suzuki. After serving the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER-Raebareli) for a year as a faculty, he joined the Central University of Rajasthan as an Assistant Professor in June 2019. Since March 2025, he has been working as an Associate Professor at the University of Delhi.
