Ritayan MITRA
About me
I am an associate professor in the Interdisciplinary Program in Educational Technology at IIT Bombay. My research involves conceptualization and understanding of learning from a holistic viewpoint that includes a process perspective (how we learn and why we learn) as well as an outcome perspective (if we learned or what we learned). In particular, I am interested in the cognitive, affective and metacognitive processes that support learning. I use eye tracking, EEG and GSR alongwith traditional measures such as self-reports, interviews, observation protocols and think alouds in my research, which is fairly interdisciplinary in terms of themes and empirical in terms of methodology. If you want to collaborate or work with me in any capacity please start by going through some of my current projects.
