Thesis Work:
"The Hero’s Legacy: Greek Hero-Cults and Their Effects on Greek Mythology as seen through Attic Black-Figure Amphora"
Summary: This project is a continued investigation of the Attic Black-Figure Amphora, alongside the other depictions of Theseus and the Minotaur, to better understand the function of hero cults in Athens. An examination of the ways a heroic cult affected how their heroes, both mythological and mortal, were depicted in art helps us better understand their functions in ancient Greek society.
