Meet Rissa – The Heart Behind the Rocks

Hi, I’m Rissa the face behind Rissa on the Rocks and your go-to bartender/agua fresca girl for unforgettable, family-friendly events!

My journey behind the bar began back in 2013, slinging drinks in a gritty pool hall in San Antonio. What started as a side hustle quickly turned into a passion for the art of hospitality, storytelling through cocktails, and connecting with people from all walks of life.

Over the past 12 years, I’ve poured my heart (and plenty of drinks!) into perfecting my craft. From neighborhood bars to private celebrations, every experience has shaped how I serve today with care, creativity, and a whole lot of personality.

As a military spouse of 10 years, I know firsthand how important it is to make moments matter. That’s what Rissa on the Rocks is all about  creating experiences that bring people together, no matter the occasion. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, community event, or corporate celebration, I focus on making every detail feel special and stress-free.

While I love crafting signature cocktails, I also specialize in mocktails and agua frescas — fun, flavorful, and inclusive drinks that everyone can enjoy. I take pride in offering beverages that not only taste amazing but also look stunning, because every sip should feel like a celebration.
