International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is a yearly event sponsored by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), aneational non-profit organization. Founded in 1967, the day is observed on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, April 2. International Children's Book Day (ICBD) is celebrated to inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books. Activities include writing competitions, announcements of book awards and events with authors of Children's literature.

I'm fond of fantasy books. They are exciting. They are full of adventures and touching moments. They make me think and dream. Fantasy books teach me to solve my problems and understand others. My favourite book is Harry Potter by J. Rowling. At Christmas I acted as Harry Potter at the local children's theatre. Everybody liked our performance. It was fantastic.

The International Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics is celebrated on April 12. In 2011, 12 April was declared as the International Day of Human Space Flight in dedication of the first manned space flight made on 12 April 1961 by the 27-year-old Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin circled the Earth for 1 hour and 48 minutes aboard the Vostok 1 spacecraft.

Belarusian people are proud of Belarusian cosmonauts Oleg Novitsky, Pyotr Klimuk and Vladimir Kovalyonok. Belarus plays an important role in exploring space. . About 90 cosmonauts from 19 countries took part in the 31st planetary congress of the Association of Space Explorers in Minsk on 9-15 September in 2018, discussed results of flights to the International Space Station (ISS) and space science. Cosmonauts and astronauts met with Belarusian school and university students . Apart from that, a parkway of cosmonauts was opened in the botanical garden. Nature’s gifts to our planet are the millions of species that we know and love, and many more that remain to be discovered. Unfortunately, human beings have irrevocably upset the balance of nature and, as a result, the world is facing the greatest rate of extinction since we lost the dinosaurs more than 60 million years ago. But unlike the fate of the dinosaurs, the rapid extinction of species in our world today is the result of human activity.

The unprecedented global destruction and rapid reduction of plant and wildlife populations are directly linked to causes driven by human activity: climate change, deforestation, habitat loss, trafficking and poaching, unsustainable agriculture, pollution and pesticides to name a few. The impacts are far reaching.

The students of our gymnasia took an active part in Earth Day campaign. They took part in the ecological quest "Stalker", discuss such global problems as deforestation, pollution and habitat loss. They visited an ecological centre, organized a photo exhibition "The beauty of our fair land", created a green emblem of our district, became the winners of "Green day" in Borisov district. Our students took part in the ecological festival "Earth Day".

Many Christians worldwide celebrate Easter with special church services, music, candlelight, flowers and the ringing of church bells. Easter processions are held in some countries such as the Philippines and Spain. Many Christians view Easter as the greatest feast of the Church year. It is a day of joy and celebration to commemorate that Jesus Christ is risen, according to Christian belief.
