About Rising Stars Learning Center

Rising Star Learning Center is a legacy of over three decades in early childhood education, founded on October 29, 1989 by Queen Grimsley.

Initially headquartered in the attic of Gospel Tabernacle Church on Richmond Street in The Central Ward of Newark New Jersey, we moved to our current location in 1995. We are a nonprofit organization committed to provide affordable childcare services to working class families in and around Newark’s South Ward.
