What is the FLC?
The Family Leadership Committee (FLC) is a family-run group that gives parents, guardians, families, teachers and staff the opportunity to work together. Through fundraising we aim to supplement and enrich the community of RISE Prep by hosting scholar/family events and supporting the school in any need possible. This includes but is not limited to classroom supplies, family fun nights and teacher appreciation. The FLC is open to ALL families.
This short video, gives a brief summary of what a PTO is, why it exists and what you can do to help. The FLC is most like a PTO since we do not require dues to be a member.
RISE Prep's FLC depends on family volunteers to help host the events and fundraisers we have planned for this year. Over the past couple of years, it has been difficult to connect with potential volunteers. We hope to fix this by creating email lists based on family interests. There are a variety of ways to volunteer. There is no experience necessary, just bring your willingness to help
