General Notarial Services

The State of Texas Government Code Ann § 406.024 sets out the maximum fees a Notary Public may charge for general notarial services. 


Acknowledgements, 1st signature $10 

Each additional signature on same document   $1 

Jurats, per certificate (oath /affirmation) $10 

Certified Copies, per certificate $10 

Certified Copies of Notarial Records, per page 50c

Protests, per bill or note $4 

Protests, each notice served $1 

Protests, each certificate and seal $4

A service fee is applied to the maximum notary fee and calculated based on location/distance and scheduled appointment time. See Mobile Notary Fees below.



Mobile Notary Fees


Travel plus mileage (within 5 miles) $24

Mileage fee per mile, > 5 miles $1 

After hours – 7pm to 9pm, 6am to 9am and Weekends   $32

Late night or emergency – 9pm to 6am $59

*Loan Modification by Mobile Notary (within 5 mi.) $45

Power of Attorney (within 5mi.) $55

Health Care Facilities and Nursing homes, per 30 minutes* $50

*There may be a circumstance where the notary is on-site, and the borrower refuses to sign and proceeds to terminate the closing. Fees will be reduced to $100.
