ICT for Teaching Writing
For most people in the world, the word "book" would probably pop up in their minds when they hear about the word "writing". Why is that? Long time ago, a lot of people always need a book, or other real tools as the media in writing. However, time has passed. People can write what they want to write in social media, blogs, email, or other tools by using technology. The use of technology, becomes a great help for human lives. Not only as the media in writing, technology also can be used as the "helping tool" in producing a text. This would be really helpful for both students and the teacher. Here are some examples of the use of technology in teaching writing:
1. Blogs. Blog is one of the use of technology in teaching writing. The teacher can asked the students to write some text, and post them in students' blogs. Then, teacher can give some feedback for the students' writing.
2. Email. Here is another example of using technology in teaching writing. When I was in junior high school, my English teacher asked me to write an email for an Australian student. Honestly, I really love it. This activity helps me to develop my writing skill and also English skill because English is not my first language.
3. Microsoft Word Program. As a student and also a future teacher, this application helps me a lot. As a media in writing, this application also provide an auto-correct tool, that can be used to correct our text, in case we have grammatical error.
