The steps I explain below are the steps I took to convert my USD into XRP(Ripple) without long wait times or intrusive verification as of 12/28/2017, there may be more effective methods but as it stands this is the method that works for me. I am not a partner or in any way directly associated with Ripple, Ripple Labs, Coinbase(GDAX), Toast Wallet or Any of their partners.

Step 1: Buy another Crypto.

- On Coinbase (Referal Link) Verify the link begins with "https://www.coinbase"
- Check Ripple value here: (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/#markets)
- The method I used to do so was to buy from coinbase with a card the fee may be more than the wire transfer or directly by logging into a bank account, but not using a card results in 7 day wait for the transaction to complete.
- I suggest purchasing with any option other than Bitcoin as that it is the most popular it also has the most pending transactions meaning long wait times.
- Go to the "buy/sell" tab
- Select add payment method.
- Choose credit/debit card if you're in a rush or the other 2 payment method if you don't mind waiting a few days.
- Verify your ID picture if you happen to be one of the lucky few coinbase asked to do so, so far of the persons I've explained my process to only 3 were rquired to do so.
- Select your currency of choise, preferably ethereum as the other 2 will needs to be exchaged into something else to buy ripple on binance.
- Ethereum.
- Bitcoin Cash.
- LiteCoin
- Select buy specify the amount you wish to buy in Dollars(or your local currecny).
- wait for the purchase to complete. (I tend to be a little impatient so I nomarally go back and forth between tabs to make it update faster.)
Step 2: Send the currecncy to a Crypto Exchage.

Once you have the currecncy Ex: BTC, ETH, LTC. you need to set up a binance account.
- On the Binance webpage (Refferal Link) Verify the link begins with "https://www.binance"
- Go to Funds(top right of the page) then "Deposits Withdrawals"
- Look for the currency you bought on coinbase or use the search bar to find it with its trading symbol Ex: BCH, ETH, LTC
- Select deposite on the right of your selected currecny.
- Copy the Address: (jumbled letters and number below "Deposit Address: " example below.
5. go back to coinbase
6. Go back to accounts
7. Under the currncy you bought select the Send button
8. A little window should appear with an area at the top to input an address.
9. Paste the address coppied at (4.)
10. Across from the textbox for usd if you hover your mouse over your purchased currecy it should show an otion that says "MAX", if you have no intent to save any of that currecny. If you do intend to save some manually input the amounrt to send.
11. Hit send.

12. Got back to binance.
13. Got to funds(top right of the page) then history, if the page shows there is no deposit history give it about 2-3 minutes then refresh the page.
14. Now you have to wait for the confirmation(found on the left) to get to the max amount.
Ex. (30/30)
(I tend to be impatient so I usually spam the refresh button until I see the word "Completed")

Now that you have your cryptocurrency of choice in binance you need to exchange it.
- In binace go to Exchane(top left of the page) then Basic.
- Then select [ETH] (at the top righ beside favorites)
- Then then type "XRP" without quotes (in the text box below the favorites)
- Select "XRP/ETH"
- At the bottom there should be a green button "BUY XRP" YES!!! we are alomost there... but not quite. above the green button you will see options to do trading much like ForEX but I would not be able to give advice on tading, I is simply purchase ripple at market market value and to do so...
- Click the tab that says "Market" above the "BUY XRP" button.
- Next click the "100%" Button, under amount.
- Now! finally! you may click the "BUY XRP" button.

I suggest using A hardware wallet. there are many hardware wallets and they all vary in configuration so unfortunately I cannot cover doing so but it would entail the same process as above but instead of sending the cryptocurrency you purchased from one address to another you send ripple.
To transfer currency from Binance you need to enable two factor verify either with google authenticator or if you happen to be on a chinese phone carrier via text.
- If you choose not to invest in a hardware wallet then I suggest Toast wallet (link above)
- Open the toast wallet app thouroughly read the license agreement
- Select "Create Wallet".
- Take a note of all the information that the wallet asks for and and that you input as well.
- Set a pin its digits 6 digits but if your like me and your used to 4 dihit pins throw in two 0s and remeber where you put them.
- Create a passphrase this will be be used when you create an account the setup for toast wallet allows you to setup multiple accounts much like you could with you band and setting up each will require the passphrase.
