Think:  "Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers."

Loot is continually hidden in different locations throughout the city.

Take what you have found, you beat the other Treasure Hunters to it, & you earned it!

There are no rules!  Anything goes!

This is free, & open to anyone that wants to participate.

Pair up with friends or family.  Adventure Solo.  It's up to you!

You are truly a Treasure Hunter attempting to locate and steal the Loot before anyone else can find it.

Treasure!

Your treasure will typically be found inside a protective card sleeve.

You could find:
Laser-engraved coins with the LOOTERS logo.
"LOOT" keychains.
Something specific to that location!
(Try to complete a full set from all locations!)

Occasionally I come across interesting trinkets, discount cards, & other random cool stuff.

Sometimes I hide them in Treasure Stashes.  They might be valuable.

Some Treasures might be buried.  Most are not.

If Treasure is buried, it will only be a few inches deep.

Be respectful and consider the location you're at.

Would digging be appropriate?  Would it be legal?

Destruction of Public or Private property is very serious!

Digging a small, 6 inch deep hole near the River, or in a Playground's Bark-Pit is normal behavior for those areas.

Digging a hole in a parking lot or at the Library is NOT normal!

I enjoy giving my children Treasure Hunts, but they were out of town once, so I decided to make it public for everyone to try.  It's turned into this!  While I only hide new Loot & update this website about every other month, it still takes a LOT of time!

I greatly appreciate it when LOOTERS tell me which stashes they've found and looted so I can remove them from this site.

It's not required, & I think it's half the fun not knowing if the stash you're trying to solve has been looted yet.

If you don't mind making your finds public, it would be cool to start seeing LOOTERS tag the account on Instagram, and create a lively community of LOOTERS grouping up for hunts or working together on some of the harder hides.

It would also be easy for me to track which hides have been found!

Some Riddles are hard to solve, others are easy.

Some might reference something you've seen every weekend, so you know where to look.  But, others won't make any sense to you!

I try to make the sticker face the Loot's location.  This isn't always the case, though!

Treasure is NOT typically buried in the ground, like a hole.  It might be buried under other things, though, like a log or leaves.

Stickers are usually pretty close, & serve as a way of confirming you're on the right path.  They don't necessarily act like an "X marks the spot."

1 stash per Riddle!

Riddles can take many forms:  Words, Photos, Codes, Symbols.

Most Riddles are made with Chatgpt.  I proofread them and make some adjustments, but you should interpret the Riddles loosely.

It's possible you're searching for Loot that was already found, and the site hasn't been updated yet.  It's also possible that you suck at this.  Keep trying, and keep trying different ones too!  Maybe invite someone else to help you.

I'd like to start adding stuff from local businesses in with the Loot.

Gift Cards, Buy-1-Get-1-Free coupons.

Something with a kind of monetary value would be cool, like real Loot or Treasure.

For now, though, it's just me and my trinkets.

Go outside & explore!

Kick your kids out of the house and off of the electronics.

Team up with them & make some memories!

Compete with them & their friends to find the most Loot!

The point is to have fun outside, & see all the cool stuff out there!

You can role play Pirates, or Treasure Hunters.  You can go solo, or organize groups.

You could meet for donuts or coffee in the morning with strangers, & go searching for Loot together afterwards!

You can collect and trade your Treasures.

You could start competitions to find the most Loot in a set amount of time!

You could start secret clubs of LOOTERS that requires Loot for entry.
