Born & lived Potton. Enlisted Kempston Barracks. Son of Mr. Henry Munkman (died 1920) and Mrs. Ann Munkman of Potton; brother of Martha Elizabeth Munkman.

Private 30946.

His Medal record states Bedfordshire Regiment (4th Special Reserve)

His grave states: 1st Battalion Hertfordshire Regiment.

Killed in action 11 July 1918. Age 26. Killed at Bucquoy, France.

Buried: St Amand British Cemetery, Pas-de-Calais, France. Ref. IV.A.20.
