Robert Feuer and Robert Wilson-Rodriguez first met at Chris George's apartment on Newbury Street in Boston. At the time, Wilson—the guitar player for Salem 66—was looking for a place to stay between tours.[4] He eventually left that group for a brief stint with Drumming on Glass. In 1991, Feuer would return to New York.
It was there that Wilson-Rodriguez taught Feuer the art of subway busking, sparking a musical partnership that spanned years under various monikers. Life eventually took them to Albuquerque, New Mexico; a year after arriving, Feuer was struck by a drunk driver, requiring a month-long hospital recovery. Their collaboration culminated in 2005 with a 14-song album recorded under the name The Shut-inz. Today, Feuer works as a special education teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools [5], while Wilson-Rodriguez continues to write and record music.[6]
Mary Feuer moved to Los Angeles in 1998, where she worked as a writer on television pilots, feature films, and landmark web series like Lonelygirl15. During the 2008 Writer's Guild strike, she wrote, self-produced, and directed the web series, With the Angels, which earned her nominations for Best Directing and Best Writing at the first annual Streamy Awards. Mary is also an award-winning fiction and non-fiction author, as well as the owner/operator of a California based vintage and antique decor shop, Cracked Vessel Vintage.
In 2018, she closed the store, put herself on hiatus from writing, bought a little school bus, and drove it cross country to care for her aging mother. She lived in the bus in the parking lot of her Mom’s assisted living facility and in various locations on the streets of Boston until her mother’s passing in 2022, and since then continues her adventures as a nomad, traveling mostly throughout the southwest. Mary documents her nomadic life on her YouTube channel, @MaxminiTV, and a new channel, @TrueCrimeTravelTime, which combines nomad travel and true crime storytelling.
