The brand's concept is not only to be environmentally friendly, but also to eliminate waste and bring more time to your life, 

as well as to be lightweight and easy to care for, as functions that are also friendly to people and their bodies.

In addition, we are focusing on designs that enrich people's lives by emphasizing individuality, such as color variations.

In the textile industry, there are some substandard materials that cannot be delivered because they do not meet standards, and their disposal has become a problem.

Under the concept of “ZERO WASTE DESIGN,” we are making effective use of these unneeded materials and revitalizing them as products, which is one way of “doing something a little bit better.

The non-standard materials currently used by “THE SUPERMARKET TOKYO” are synthetic leather made in Japan, which is highly regarded worldwide for use in luxury car seats and interiors.

In order to make effective use of this synthetic leather without discarding it as much as possible, we are also commercializing small leftover  as furoshiki handles and small card cases.

それは環境に優しいことはもちろん、無駄をなくし時間にゆとりをもたらすことだったり、人、体にも優しい機能としての軽量性や簡単ケアもそれにあたります。
加えて、カラーバリエーションのように個性を重視し暮らしを豊かにするデザインにこだわっています。

繊維業界では基準に満たず納品出来ない規格外素材が存在しその処分が問題になっています。
「ZERO WASTE DESIGN」の考えの元、不要になった規格外素材を有効利用し商品として蘇らせること、それも”ちょっとだけ何かいいこと“のひとつです。

「THE SUPERMARKET TOKYO」が現在使用している規格外素材は
元々高級車のシートや内装として世界的にも評価の高い日本製合成皮革です。
この合成皮革を出来るだけ棄てず有効利用するため、小さく残ったハギレも風呂敷のハンドルや小さなカードケースとして商品化しています。

Cutting-edge sustainable collection recycled from marine debris

[PORTRUNKS] is a fashion brand that collects and separates marine debris, which can be recycled as fiber. PORTRUNKS] offers colorful striped patterns inspired by the striped houses of Costa Nova, a seaside town in Portugal, and patterns with motifs of sea creatures, as well as exquisite resort wear and goods woven with these patterns.

The raw material used is SEAQUAL FABRIC, a recycled polyester made from recycled marine debris through the clean-up program of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, an environmental protection organization in Spain, which is a leader in the field of environmental issues. We are creating products that can bring about improvements in the two axes of environmental pollution, animal protection, food chain issues, greenhouse gas reduction, and carbon neutrality.

「海洋ごみから再生した最先端サステナブルコレクション」

[PORTRUNKS]は、海洋ごみを回収、分別、その中で繊維としてリサイクルできるものから作ったファッションブランドです。ポルトガルにある海の町“コスタノバ”のストライプハウスから着想されたカラフルなストライプ柄や海の生物をモチーフにした柄、それらが織りなす極上のリゾートウエア＆グッズを展開しています。

原料は環境問題で先行する欧州スペインの環境保護団体SEAQUAL INITIATIVEのクリーンアッププログラムによりつくられた海洋ごみ再生リサイクルポリエステル”SEAQUAL FABRIC“を使用。環境汚染問題と動物保護、食物連鎖という問題と温室効果ガス削減、カーボンニュートラル２軸の改善に効果をもたらせることのできる商品づくりを行っています。
