Evolutionary and Molecular Biologist
"News" I am honored to receive the fellowship from the Astellas Foundation for Research on Metabolic Disorders (海外留学補助金 (公財)アステラス病態代謝研究会) as a postdoctoral researcher in the Vega Thurber Lab. This fellowship will support my research from September 1, 2024, to August 2025!
My research program integrates data from microbiology, transcriptomics, genomics, molecular biology and phylogeny - often through the application of bioinformatics - in order to understand the effects of global warming, species evolution, and symbiosis for anthozoan species (Especially coral reef species).
In the future, by constructing a system that reflects human activities in areas surrounding the sampling regions related to biodiversity, I hope to generate new hypotheses and simulations regarding marine biodiversity through a graphical interface.
