What is it about?

The Italian Philanthropic Lottery is the only no-profit lottery in IGT which allocates all funds raised to finance social projects.

The lottery is designed for companies and individuals that could purchase tickets with a simple donation.

The application consists in a cloud native app implemented in Azure cloud platform:

• The application is a Single Page Application and is therefore run on the user's browser.

• The BackEnd services are implemented with Azure Function Apps and managed by Azure API Management

• Function Apps use CosmosDB, a database-as-a-service for persistence management.

• Azure Active Directory manage the registration, authorization, login, and logout of users

• CI chain and monitoring services complete the scenario.

• This architecture is also allowed for cost savings and improved efficiency in the development and maintenance

What is it about?

Core Games is a team that operates in the iLottery branch of IGT, specialized in developing games and relative management systems in the gambling area. 

Its goal is to develop simple and smart products that comply with user guidelines, with modern graphics and constantly updated, through the use of the newest frameworks. Currently, two main games are provided Poker & Bingo, they rely on a complex architecture that allows having a complete product characterized by: portability, scalability, and easy customization. 

Therefore, the Core Games platform can be reached by "everyone everywhere", meaning that as many devices as possible can be covered and a huge number of concurrent players worldwide can be handled. These results are reached thanks to the methodologies adopted, a strong team collaboration, and a provider independent deployment (either on cloud or on premises).In this session, the general architecture of Bingo and the main achievements of 2022 will be discussed.

What is it about?

When a user interacts with ChatGPT, its input is processed by the model, which is trained on vast amounts of text data from the internet. This training allows the model to recognize patterns in language and generate responses that are similar to those produced by humans.

It can be used in several ways:

• Embeddings

• Custom model with fine tuning

ChatGPT thanks to its great ability to generate human-like responses has left many users literally speechless. Since its results, chatGPT can be used on several real-word application: chatbot, code development, test automation, and so on…

What is it about?

Metaverse is the biggest technology revolution since the advent of the web.

The Gartner market predictions assert that the total earning opportunities in the Metaverse could exceed 800 billion dollars by 2024.

The gambling world is moving towards this new paradigm looking for a more immersive virtual reality gaming experience, based on all the opportunities offered by decentralizing technologies such as the blockchain, which allows you to mint proprietary coins, use existing ones or generate tokens.

The token concept, known as NFT, opens the way for a new gaming model called Play-To-Earn allowing players to earn money by playing, contrary to the classic Pay-To-Win model.

Major gaming and gambling market leaders are already investing in the Metaverse with concrete value propositions.

In this speech we are going to focus on:

• How to create a Crypto Game from scratch using a Ringmaster home-made framework (based on Unreal Engine 5, Metahuman, and Blockchain)

• Two playable crypto games: our framework proof of concepts

What is it about?

Blockchain technologies are used by developers more frequently nowadays, since Web 3.0 is becoming a reality: decentralization and token-based economics are the core concepts of the new iteration of the Word Wide Web. 

Decentralization means that there is no central authority governing the operations of a platform: blockchain technologies and communities provide a form of self-governance. 

Token-based economics is a completely new way of doing economics that is not controlled by a single entity and is much more secure; also, it’s beneficial for the Content Creators, in fact it’s part of what is known as “The New Creator Economy”. NFTs, Cryptocurrencies, Metaverses are examples of the many possibilities that exist thanks to the underlying Blockchain Technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
