# All times are given in Japan standard time JST (UTC+09:00).

About this conference

Themes of the conference : This conference will be held as one of the workshops supported by the joint research program of RIMS (Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences), Kyoto University. It is followed by the international conference Supersingular Abelian Varieties and Related Arithmetic held in last year, and will focus on the theory of supersingular curves and supersingular abelian varieties and its applications such as post-quantum cryptography using supersingular isogenies. Further details will be announced on this website, as soon as they have been finalized.

Registration :

To participate in this conference, you must register in advance for a Zoom meeting (see the below 1 for details). The below 2 (creating a Slack account) is optional.

  1. [Required] Registration to the Zoom meeting room for this conference (by *October 9 JST (UTC+09:00)* at the latest)

You can access to the registration page as follows: Please delete the slash mark at the end of https://sites.google.com/view/rims-supersingular2020/ and then replace "2020" by the password ("the number of monomials of degree six in four variables"), where a monomial is a polynomial with just one term whose coefficient is 1. Then please complete the online registration. Please note:

      • To avoid technical issues, please install the latest version of Zoom (available at https://zoom.us).

      • The information you enter on the registration form will be visible only to the Program Committee (and will be shared only with them and the RIMS office). The information will be used by Program Committee and the RIMS office only for conducting/improving this conference and related RIMS conferences held in the future, but not for any other purpose.

      • Once your registration has been approved by the Program Committee, you will receive an e-mail automatically from the Zoom system. By accessing the URL written in the e-mail, you can reach the meeting room for this conference.

      • Please register in advance, by *October 9 (Fri.) JST (UTC+09:00)* at the latest. A registration during October 10 to 15 may cause the delay in our approving your registration.

      • We require that every participant represent themselves by the name that they use for their professional work. No participant can impersonate another person or use a pseudonym.

  1. [Optional] Create an account for a Slack workspace specific to this conference

Each participant whose Zoom registration has been approved will receive an e-mail on an invitation to the Slack workspace "RIMS: Supersingular2020" (note: the invitation mail will be sent to the address you entered when your Zoom registration). The workspace has a channel about each talk, for registered conference participants to make comments or ask questions. Some channels (e.g. # general) will be used for recording announcements verbally communicated from the Program Committee during the conference. Creating an account for this workspace is optional, but the Program Committee recommend this in order to encourage more active discussions among participants.

      • You can participate in the Slack workspace via web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft edge. It is also possible to use a Slack application installed on your PC, see the official site of Slack https://slack.com/ for more details.

      • Please use the same name as that of your Zoom registration.

If you have any questions about this registration, please feel free to contact to the Program Committee.

Support : This workshop is supported mainly by RIMS, and partially by JSPS KAKENHI 17K05196 and 20K14301.
