Never trust the moon,
for she lies and deceives
with no mercy,
leaves you breathless
under the turmoil,
makes you
drunk
heady
mad
crazy
on her.
She weaves and tangles into
your silky soul,
making you question
your own echo.
Perhaps, only a fool
would love her.
When day idly comes by,
you’re left with nothing, but
a star shaped void
where your heart should be.
Yet I’ve always been bad at
following my own advice.
Don’t fall for the moon.
Bio: Willow is a self-proclaimed writer and chaotic poet, she devours books and loves the moon and her tides. Commentary
No wonder the Moon has maddended mankind since his first foot on earth. The clever analogy of the moon and the advice to not muse upon it, have been used to set up the final message - rely on yourself.
