I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Brigham Young University and research fellow at CESifo, the Strengthening Families Research Initiative at Notre Dame, the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) and IZA Institute of Labor Economics.
My research is at the intersection of public and labor economics, exploring topics such as
Individual and household responses to government programs
Migration
Marriage and fertility decisions
My work has been published at outlets like AEJ: Economic Policy, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Labor Economics, the Journal of Public Economics, and the Journal of Human Resources. I received my Ph.D. from the University Maryland in 2018.
