I always place value first when calculating the cost of labor, time, and skill into my service fees. What you receive with me is personal service. I work directly with you to help your guitar play and sound its best for you.
Everyone has a different idea of how their guitar should play, sound, feel, and look. By working together, I help take those ideas out of your head and translate them onto your instrument in a way that feels intentional and personal.
I list my prices to help you understand what a service may cost. Many shops do not list pricing or clearly explain what they offer. Transparency matters to me. If I do not currently offer a service, it is because I am still mastering how to provide it at a level that matches the personal service and high standards I expect for my own instruments.
You never need to worry about something not feeling right. If an adjustment or correction is needed within 30 days of the initial service, I will fix it at no charge, subject to the terms of service.
Professional opinions are offered without charging a bench fee to look at your instrument. Amplifiers are not serviced.
Service pricing may change if a job requires more labor than expected, or may be reduced if less labor is involved, at the guitar technician’s discretion. An estimate must be approved before work begins if the work is going to be more than 250 dollars. Final totals may change as conditions are discovered during service. If the final cost will exceed the approved estimate by 25 percent or more, you will be contacted before work continues.

Quality setups are my specialty and most requested service. Each setup includes cleaning of the guitar, high shine fret polishing, detailed fretboard cleaning and conditioning for rosewood or similar materials, nut lubrication where applicable, restringing, truss rod adjustment, action height set to your preference, intonation adjustment, and inspection of all electronics. Setup pricing is the same for acoustic, electric, and bass guitars unless noted below.
*Guitars equipped with Floyd Rose or double locking tremolo systems require additional labor and incur a $20 charge.
*Non locking tremolo systems require additional adjustment time and incur a $10 charge.
*Twelve string guitars require additional labor due to increased string count and setup complexity and incur a $20 charge.
$120 + Cost of Strings
Includes all components of The Setup, plus fret touch ups to ensure proper leveling and crowning, fret beveling to smooth fret ends and address fret sprout, and removal of the nut for adjustment or sanding if needed. This service allows the guitar to achieve the lowest possible action while maintaining proper playability.
This service is not recommended for every guitar. It is best suited for newer mid tier to economy tier instruments, or guitars that have gone an extended period without a setup. If you are unsure whether this option is appropriate for your guitar, I am happy to evaluate the instrument and provide a professional recommendation on the best course of action.

Single coil pickups are great until EMI interferes. Proper shielding helps reduce or eliminate 60 cycle hum caused by electrical interference. To perform this correctly, all electronic components are removed from the guitar, copper shielding tape is applied, and key sections are soldered together to create a continuous grounding path. When the components are reinstalled, the grounding wire is connected to the shielding, and a conductivity test is performed to confirm proper function.
In some cases this procedure may not be necessary, so I encourage you to consult with me so we can determine what is best for your guitar and your playing needs.

This modification allows your humbuckers to switch between vintage and hotter output tones by changing the wiring configuration on the fly using a dedicated control.
$40 + the Cost of Parts
This modification repurposes a tone control to dial in how much of the humbucking pickup is split, allowing you to fine tune the balance between full humbucker and single coil tones. This typically requires more extensive rewiring than a standard potentiometer swap.
