Gospel music is a traditional genre of Christian music. Gospel music can be traced all the way back to the 17th century, but gospel music originally came out in the 19th century. Most Christan's who dedicate their life to God and the church sing gospel music, gospel is often performed during church services. Gospel music is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of african american church.
