Please read these Rules and Terms thoroughly before submitting your film. By entering your film into the RED INCARNATION INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (RIIFF) competition, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to abide by these Rules and Terms.
RIIFF accepts films completed after 2020, without restrictions on content, subject matter, or country of origin. There is no premiere requirement, and movies distributed on platforms such as YouTube or OTT services are eligible for submission.
Submission of your film to RIIFF does not guarantee selection. Official selections, nominees, and winners will be permanently listed on our website.
All winning films will receive a trophy, award, or certificate. Please note that we do not provide application fee waivers; all filmmakers are treated equally. Selected films will be screened according to the festival's decision.
Films produced in languages other than English must include English subtitles; otherwise, they will be disqualified.
Films submitted for a particular month may be resubmitted at any time for consideration, as different judging panels evaluate submissions each season.
Directors and Producers may submit multiple films in a single category or across different categories simultaneously. However, each submission must include a separate entry form and fee. Any individual or organization holding rights to the film may submit multiple entries.
RIIFF reserves the right to refuse any entry. Fees will not be refunded if a filmmaker submits their film in the incorrect category. Films submitted without the appropriate fees or submission media may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the programming or executive director.
A downloadable file (maximum 5GB) in MOV or MP4 format is required for the time of the Final Screening. No DVDs or VCDs will be accepted.
The festival does not cover any expenses incurred by filmmakers.
Filmmakers will be notified via email if their film is selected. Subsequently, the film will be featured on RIIFF's social media platforms. Please note that being selected does not guarantee screening at the festival; it signifies that the film has been well-received by the judging panel. Filmmakers may use the festival logo on promotional materials. Nominated films will undergo a private screening for the judging panel before any public exhibition.
The “Best” films in each category will receive laurels and a certificate.
Submission fees are non-refundable; if a filmmaker decides to withdraw their submission, the fees will not be returned. To avoid disqualification, please ensure you select the correct category when submitting. RIIFF reserves the right to reassign films to appropriate categories as necessary.
RIIFF may amend these Rules and Terms without prior notice. Any amendments will become effective immediately. It is the submitter's responsibility to check for updates periodically.
Selected films may be screened (up to five screenings) in various cities across India on a non-commercial basis. Excerpts (up to 60 seconds) from any film may be used non-commercially for promotional purposes.
