If you want over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation, extended battery life, and high-resolution audio for long work sessions or travel while wearing glasses, choose Riibox Y7Pro; if you need ultra-discreet sleep earbuds designed specifically for side sleepers to block distractions during rest, choose Rulbovs NE96.
• Riibox Y7Pro: The biggest strength is its massive 100-hour playtime and hybrid active noise cancellation that isolates you in noisy environments; the trade-off is its over-ear design which can add bulk around the frame of your glasses. This pick is for professionals, travelers, and audiophiles who prioritize sound quality and long usage without frequent charging.
• Rulbovs NE96: The biggest strength is its ergonomic, pressure-free shape built specifically for sleeping on your side; the trade-off is that it lacks active noise cancellation and offers a more limited frequency response compared to full-size drivers. This pick is for side sleepers, light sleepers, and anyone needing a discreet listening device that disappears in the ear.
The Riibox Y7Pro is engineered for people who demand immersion and endurance from their audio gear. Its standout feature is the 100-hour average playtime, a figure that fundamentally changes how you use the device. You are no longer tethered to a charger for days on end. Whether you are commuting across time zones, working through a grueling week without interruption, or simply listening to music all day at home, the battery life here is not just a spec—it is a lifestyle enabler. The inclusion of Bluetooth 6.0 further ensures that this connection remains stable and responsive, offering enhanced range and speed that keeps your audio uninterrupted even when moving between rooms or navigating busy spaces.
For those who wear glasses, the Y7Pro addresses comfort through its soft, breathable ear cups made from ABS material. While over-ear designs can sometimes press against the arms of eyewear, the circular earpiece shape and plush padding aim to create a snug fit that distributes pressure evenly. The 40-millimeter dynamic drivers deliver a frequency response ranging from 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz, supporting Hi-Res Audio via LDAC technology. This means you get detailed highs and deep lows that generic earbuds often miss. If your priority is clarity and richness in your daily soundtrack, this headset is built to handle it.

However, this product is not for everyone. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is a powerful tool, but it requires an over-ear form factor. If you have thick-framed glasses or sensitive ears that dislike any pressure around the head, the physical size might become a constraint after several hours. Furthermore, the latency is listed at 200 milliseconds, which is acceptable for music and calls but might feel slightly laggy for competitive gaming where split-second reaction times matter. It is also worth noting that while the AI assistant features allow you to chat and control tasks hands-free, the reliance on an app for custom EQ and ANC settings means you must be comfortable navigating software interfaces to get the most out of the hardware.
This headphone is best suited for the office worker, the frequent flyer, and the student who needs to focus in a noisy library. It excels in scenarios where you want to shut out the world completely and lose yourself in a podcast or album for hours. If you value the ability to customize your sound profile deeply and want a device that lasts a week on a single charge, the Y7Pro is a serious contender. Just be prepared for the weight; at 250 grams, it is a substantial piece of gear compared to true wireless buds, so you will definitely feel it on your head.
The Rulbovs NE96 takes a completely different approach, focusing entirely on the niche of sleep and extreme discretion. These are not headphones meant for your morning commute or your gym session; they are designed to vanish into your ear canal so you can sleep on your side without pain. The key innovation here is the ultra-mini ergonomic design. Traditional in-ear monitors often cause discomfort when you lie down because the housing presses against the pillow. The NE96 avoids this by being compact and low-profile, ensuring that the hard plastic casing does not dig into your cheekbone. This makes them a genuine alternative to traditional foam earplugs for those who find silence too absolute and prefer the comfort of white noise or a gentle story.
Bluetooth 6.0 technology powers these earbuds, providing fast pairing and a stable connection within a 10-meter range. While this range is shorter than the Y7Pro's 32.8 feet, it is perfectly adequate for a bedroom setup where your phone sits on a nightstand. The device includes three sizes of ultra-soft silicone ear tips, allowing you to create a personalized seal. This seal is crucial because it helps reduce everyday distractions and creates a quieter environment, acting as a barrier against snoring partners or household noise. The total playtime of up to 80 hours comes from the charging case, which is a significant advantage for users who forget to charge their devices regularly.
Despite its strengths, the NE96 has clear limitations that define who should skip it. Because it relies on a passive seal rather than active noise cancellation, it cannot eliminate loud, sudden noises like traffic sirens or construction work the way a premium over-ear headset can. It blocks "everyday distractions," but it is not a fortress against chaos. Additionally, the frequency response is tuned for balanced sound suitable for sleep and meditation rather than the punchy bass and crystalline highs found in audiophile gear. If you are looking for immersive music production quality or spatial audio effects, these buds will fall short. They are also strictly in-ear, which means if you have large ear canals or specific sensitivity issues, the silicone tips might feel intrusive even if they are marketed as "invisible."
This product is ideal for the side sleeper who struggles to find a comfortable position, the traveler trying to nap on a plane without bulky headphones, or the light sleeper who needs a consistent white noise track to drift off. It is also a strong option for "on ear" alternatives for glasses wearers who find over-ear cans uncomfortable due to frame interference, as the small profile sits flush against the face. However, do not expect it to replace your primary music player for long, critical listening sessions. It is a specialized tool for rest and relaxation, not a general-purpose entertainment hub.
• Best for Battery Life → Riibox Y7Pro: With 100 hours of playback on a single charge, the Y7Pro far exceeds the 80-hour total capacity of the NE96 case, making it superior for marathon listening sessions.
• Best for Side Sleeping → Rulbovs NE96: The NE96's ultra-mini design is the only viable option for those who need to sleep on their stomach or side without pressure points digging into their face.
• Best for Active Noise Cancellation → Riibox Y7Pro: Only the Y7Pro offers hybrid ANC to actively cancel out background noise; the NE96 relies solely on passive isolation from silicone tips.
• Best for Audio Fidelity → Riibox Y7Pro: The 40mm dynamic drivers and support for LDAC Hi-Res Audio provide a much wider frequency range (up to 40kHz) compared to the standard tuning of the NE96.
• Best for Discretion → Rulbovs NE96: If you need to listen in public without drawing attention, the invisible nature of the NE96 is unmatched by the visible over-ear style of the Y7Pro.
• Best for Glasses Comfort (Over-Ear) → Riibox Y7Pro: For some, the breathable, padded ear cups of the Y7Pro offer better heat management and less direct pressure on the temples than in-ear tips.
• Best for Glasses Comfort (In-Ear) → Rulbovs NE96: For others who find any over-ear device clashing with their frames, the tiny profile of the NE96 eliminates the conflict entirely.
• Best for Long-Term Durability → Riibox Y7Pro: The robust build materials and included accessories like a travel bag suggest a design meant for rugged travel, whereas the NE96 focuses on lightweight portability.
After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the Riibox Y7Pro for my daily life, especially as someone who wears glasses. The combination of 100-hour battery life, active noise cancellation, and Hi-Res audio support makes it a versatile powerhouse that handles everything from focused work to long flights. While the Rulbovs NE96 is a clever solution for sleeping, the Y7Pro offers a more complete audio experience for waking hours. For glasses wearers specifically, the soft, breathable ear cups of the Y7Pro provide a comfortable seal that many in-ear options struggle to match without causing irritation, provided you are okay with the over-ear form factor. If your primary goal is to block out the world and enjoy high-quality sound for extended periods, the Y7Pro is the clear winner.
