The mission of the RIH SEPAG is to foster communication and collaboration between district parents, students, staff, administrators and community members on special education programs, policies and services. The intent is to maximize student wellbeing, educational outcomes and access to relevant services. The RIH SEPAG will encourage positive relationships and partnerships to address systemic challenges in the dynamic educational environment.

Improve quality of RIH district special education programs & services
Promote prosocial behaviors, inclusion, and acceptance among RIH students, staff, and the community at large
Provide a platform for procedural information sharing from the RIH district (Board of Education, Superintendent, Director of Special Services, Principals) to families with respect to special education programs, policies, procedures, services, staffing, and related changes
Encourage communication about current and future special education program needs between the RIH district and families
Enable sharing of information and resources with RIH families who have special education needs
Foster a fellowship of support and connection for RIH families who have neurodivergent teens
