Description

If you could make just a few simple tweaks to your online teaching that would ensure more students feel safe and apply themselves more fully in your course, would you do it? Join us for an inspirational story that demonstrates the power of becoming a “warm demander” (Kleinfeld, 1975). Drawing from more than forty years of educational research about supporting minoritized students, we will examine the link between positive student-instructor relationships and increased student engagement. In this time of stress and uncertainty, relationships are more important than ever. Get ready to see your students push themselves to make you proud!
