Rifat Ara Tasnim
Ph. D Student
Rifat Ara Tasnim is a PhD student in the Computer Science department at Idaho State University. She is currently working as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science department. Her main research interest focuses on providing psychological treatment through wearable or handheld devices using serious games. Her current research explores the effectiveness of VR technology in adapting psychotherapeutic techniques of CBT to treat young adults who have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Previously she had developed the 3D version of this game for smartphones to analyze its efficacy in OCD. She also worked on digital games to detect the level of different cognitive distortions present among the players.

Ph. D Student
Shojibur Rahman
Master's Student
Shojibur Rahman is a Master’s student in the Computer Science department at Idaho State University, where he also serves as a graduate teaching assistant. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and immersive educational technologies. His current project, Lit-VR, is a serious game developed to support English department students by recreating Renaissance London in an interactive virtual reality environment. The goal is to enrich literature learning through an immersive, interactive environment that allows students to explore the settings and historical contexts of the works they read, turning traditional study into an engaging experiential journey.
