The Cause

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. One in five people suffer from a mental illness. Over the past three years, I have raised more than $20,000 for suicide prevention through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Through that journey, I’ve learned that to prevent suicide, we must talk about mental illness.

That’s why this year I’m riding across America to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness, an organization that provides education, advocacy, and support for millions of people and families navigating mental health challenges every day.

This ride is my way of turning grief into movement, conversation, and hope.
