I am currently working as a Research Lead at the XKDR Forum, an independent research organization based in Mumbai. I got my Ph.D. in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai, an advanced research institute established by Reserve Bank of India.

I am an applied trade economist with a focus on intellectual property rights, trade, and innovation. My doctoral thesis entitled, “Essays on Intellectual Property Rights and Trade”, consists of three chapters, each of which focuses on the different aspects of intellectual property protection. It leverages the recent advances in structural gravity models, standard panel data estimation techniques, and quasi-experimental methods to assess whether IPRs are indeed trade-related. 

I have held teaching position in Economics at the Department of Economics, University of Kashmir and School of Open Learning, University of Delhi.
