What is going to happen as we emerge from this period of isolation and disconnect and take those first steps back into community? How will we track what has changed? How can we begin to make sense of the experiences we’ve been through while also finding a way back together?
In a moment where we are faced with so many questions, The Ridiculous Project invites you to join us in an exploration of story, whimsy, magic, and language through a radical examination of one of Shakespeare’s most-loved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The interwoven stories and realities that Shakespeare conjures offer a narrative and linguistic playground for a spirited retelling that speaks to our moment, our communities, and offers a transformational experience of access and connection. The Ridiculous Project is building a playful, immersive, theatrical experience through adapting Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream into one of our own. Dream, Love, Escape brings us into space together to acknowledge where we have been and also to experience both the act of and the celebration of a communal process of emerging.
