Classroom topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection, storage, shooting fundamentals, inspection and maintenance, marksmanship and shooting range safety.

At the range, live training with firearms is followed by a nationally standardized shooting qualification with the NRA certified instructor. 

Upon completion of the Student Examination and Live Fire Qualification you will receive certification bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and the NRA Certified Instructor.

The Massachusetts State Police certificate required as part of the application process for the Massachusetts LTC, signed by a Massachusetts certified instructor, is available, at additional cost, to students who successfully complete the NRA course. (See important update here.)
