Jordel Acres is a 49 hectare site at 1966 Roger Stevens Drive within the boundary of the Village of North Gower and on the 416 interchange. The land has been continuously farmed for over 200 years. For many years it had been zoned specifically for future use as a business park for small businesses that support the agricultural and local community. It is bordered by houses on Third Line. Examples of businesses that were envisaged there were a farmers market, small agricultural equipment warehouses, a dog groomers, a small motel. The original zoning set aside space for an additional 10 homes and a recreational area for a daycare, ice rink or other facility that would benefit the village. The parcel of land contains a drumlin, a natural feature that provides much needed drainage and recharges local wells. The drumlin may have archeological significance as a heritage site, as the nearby drumlin in Kars does. Indigenous people are well documented to have inhabited this region and had a trail along higher ground in the area, of which 1966 Rogers Stevens Drive is the highest point locally There is also a forested area with endangered butternut trees and part of the land is on a floodplain.
