Rickie and Jordan's Wedding

Our Story

In the cold of winter, on Christmas day in 2021, two strangers met at a local Vietnamese restaurant for the first of many wonderful dates.  Each, unknown to the other, came with a surprise gift.  Rickie Willens gave a small jar of homemade jam to Jordan Spahr. He accepted it and reciprocated with a handmade gift of his own; a lavender scented beeswax and almond oil hand cream.  In that moment they each saw the others' passion for creating and sharing with the ones they love.  Since that day, Rickie and Jordan have worked to build a beautiful life together.  They explore new ways to kindle their curiosity and desire for creativity as a partnership. From their eclectic hobbies to their passion for homesteading, their skills and personalities come together for a perfect fit.

Many nature excursions, antiquing adventures, and renovation projects later, we get to be married!

Now it's time for us to celebrate our love with you in the binding of our two lives as one.

About the Invitation

Designed in collaboration by Rickie and Jordan, it is filled with native Michigan wildflowers. On the front you see elderberries, trillium, thistle, coneflower, lily of the valley, and apple blossoms. Both the front and back were hand carved, printed, and painted by Rickie. This design was certainly a labor of true love!
