Why did i go deskless in my

core french classroom?

1. 80% of my core French classes are based on activities that promote oral production/interaction so why have desks?
2. My admin was very supportive to my ideas and bought me 30 stools
3. You do not need desks to learn how to SPEAK AND INTERACT in French
4. There is a lot more space!
5. The classroom can be arranged multiple ways depending on what we are learning that day
6. I can move around my classroom very easily
7. Students have the freedom to work wherever they feel comfortable around the classroom.
8. I can teach from anywhere in my classroom since students sit on stools and can easily rotate their bodies on the stool
9. It promotes an environment for better class discussions and fewer distractions
10. I have the flexibility to manage my groups very easily
11. I wanted my class to be and feel different for my intermediate students
12. In each grey bin, I have clipboards, pencils, erasers, white boards, and erasable markers
13. I can't imagine teaching with desks ever again
