Now The Good, who is most like Being, ordered All Things in a dance to please Being and invited Some Things to join them. At first, Some Things joined the dance, but in time it grew dissatisfied. It wanted to do its own dance, separate from that of The Good and All Things. In doing so, Chaos was born.
Many Things was then created out of Some Things by Chaos. Some Things got blown out of shape and lost its naturalness. It turned in on itself. It grasped, clung, worry, and strove. It lost its original simplicity. As a result, it shattered into Many Things because of Chaos. No more were All Things, who had somehow got dragged into the disagreement, in harmony with the way of Being. Seeing all this, Being wept stars. They are a light in the darkness, even when you cannot see them.
