From Concession Road to Main Street
Plains Road East is many historic routes in one. Aldershot’s main street was an indigenous trail, then a colonization road for early settlers, then a concession road for affluent market farmers and is now the main route home for suburban commuters and shoppers.

Where the Exploration of Ontario Began
This tour will take us along the main street to the intersection where the village started 100 years ago, and then down LaSalle Park Road to the park where René-Robert LaSalle began his historic tour of discovery 350 years ago.
