He received his MSc in Forestry in 2001 from University of Florence. He obtained his PhD in Forest economics and planning (XIX cycles) in 2007 at University of Florence. From 2013 to 2019 he has been Contracted Professor in Management of the nursery and environmental legislation, degree in Plant nursery sciences, environment and green areas management at University of Florence. He is Junior Researcher from October 2018 to September 2021 and Senior Researcher from October 2021 to September 2024 in Department of Veterinary Science, Rural Economics section, at University of Pisa. From October 1, 2024 he is Associate professor (SSD AGR-01/A) in Department of Veterinary Science, Rural Economics section, at University of Pisa. From 2015 he is a member of Scientific Association “Italian Society of Agricultural Economics” (SIDEA). He has the scientific qualification for Full professor until November 4, 2031 in Agricultural Economics and Appraisal (sector 07/A1). He has authored and co-authored of over 90 research papers. He participates in national and international projects. He recently works on analysis of ecosystem services, consumer’s experience related to sustainable foods, GIS and automatic learning tools for Land use change analysis and analysis of agro-environmental policies.
